Our Father’s House
In this message from Revelation 21:1–5, Pastor Mark Hollingsworth invites us to consider the hope of our heavenly home. For those who belong to Christ, heaven is not a vague idea or distant dream, but a real and glorious future prepared by God for His people.
This passage reminds us that one day God will make all things new. The present world, still marked by sin, suffering, and death, will give way to a new heaven and a new earth. In that coming reality, the former things will have passed away, and God’s people will enjoy a completely new and perfect existence.
The great hope of heaven is not simply the absence of pain, sorrow, and death, though those things will indeed be gone. The greatest promise is that God Himself will dwell with His people. The One whom believers have trusted by faith will be present with them forever in unhindered joy and fellowship.
Revelation 21 also reminds us that in our Father’s house, every longing of the redeemed will finally be satisfied. The tears, grief, and brokenness of this life will be no more, and God’s people will know everlasting peace, fullness of joy, and perfect communion with Him.
