The Folly of Resistance
Main Idea: God’s judgment exposes the folly of resisting his authority and the urgent need to humble ourselves before him.
Main Points:
- The foolishness of a Hardened Heart vv. 1-20
- The terror of Resisting the Lord vv. 21-29
Personal Reflection Questions:
- How are you tempted to resist God’s authority rather than submit to his Word?
- What marks genuine repentance?
- How does Pharaoh’s persistent rebellion warn us against presuming upon God’s patience?
- What does it mean for you to “sue for peace on god’s terms,” and how does the finished work of Jesus Christ make peace with God?
